------------------------- Epilogue: The Night Life ------------------------- Your eyes open once again to the light of the world as you are release from the asylum. You leave the journey you just endured behind you only to find an even more difficult one in front of you. Though you can never truly escape the horrors of your past you now feel you have the strength to endure what the world throws at you. For a short while after your release you try to find your father, curious as to why he never came looking for you. But the task proves to be impossible. It seems he has slipped off the face of the planet. And though you contemplate confronting your mother in prison, you never build up the courage. The scars you carry on your body and in your soul begin to heal, but never truly disappear As time passes you grow into a decent human being. You are good at your job and make extra money on the side at night, but you wont say how. At your real job you can tell others often take the long way around the building to avoid passing your office, probably dissuaded by your off kilt sense of humor. Who needs them anyway, hot fudge sundaes and vodka martini's make excellent friends. After being alone for quite some time you one day baffle your coworkers by showing off a glamorous wedding band. If anyone know about your night job they would presume that is how you met, but for now they'll have to believe your story of meeting during your trip to the home of the Cheesecake factory. Regardless of how your relationship began it blooms into a beautiful marriage that will endure to the end of your days. When your not hanging out with your soul mate, or your best friend cookie dough, you often visit Charles's grave and tell him all about your life. You tell him that your sorry for not being able to save him and one day you swear you hear his voice telling you that its all ok. You know he's in a better place.
